William is a 5 year old 14 2” hand Morgan cross gelding with so much potential! With his willingness, athleticism, flowing, elegant movement, solid bone and feet he is a great prospect for a sport horse or endurance horse. He has spent the last 4 months working on confidence and ground skills and is ready for his first rides. He knows how to pivot on his fore and hind quarters, goes sideways, backs-up, and circles beautifully. He is cooperative with his feet, ties quietly and is easy to catch. He has attended 2 obstacle play days. He has been introduced to the bit and saddle. He is always waiting at the barn for attention and nickers to his handlers. Are you looking for a very athletic and very talented horse? Badger might be your fit!
Badger is an 8 year old solid coloured registered Paint gelding with Peppy San Badger on his papers. He has good feet and is strong boned. He has 15 months Vaquero training in 2021/2022. In 2023 he spent 7 weeks with a cow horse trainer where he was exposed to flag work, cattle work, and roping. He is confident with obstacles and has logged hundreds of miles on the trail (although trail riding is rather boring for Badger). Lots of ground work until a long 2 year old then was given a light start under saddle. Easy arena time at 3. He has been consistently ridden since he was 4 including 2 trips to the YaHa. Badger is always thinking so he’d be best suited for a confident intermediate or advanced rider to help take him to the next level of his potential. He could excel in a lot of different things - he is a natural all around horse. Badger could put you where you need to be as a working cow horse in the arena and out on the range. He could also make an excellent Cutter, Versatility Ranch Horse or Penner. As a stout horse he is strong enough to rope off. Has moved cows in the pasture. He is very soft in the bosal but will carry any bit nicely or ride him in a halter. Works beautifully off your body and leg position. Badger will go and go and never quit on you. Badger needs an opportunity to put his talent and training to task - he loves to work! He’s good natured, friendly and has a lot of personality to boot.
